St. Louis Cathedral
Originally built in 1784 and designed by Gilberto Guillemard, this grand cathedral was named after the King of France, and is located along the Mississippi. In 1851, the Spanish style of the building was remodeled to include steeples and a Greek Revival Portico. Today, the Cathedral is considered a "Great Symbol of Catholicism" in North America and one of New Orleans' finest landmarks.
