The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority features dozens of convenient bus routes, as well as street car routes for St. Charles Avenue and the Riverfront. The streetcar routes are ideal for tourists because they pass by many of the major attractions. Day passes and other passes are available. Paratransit services are also offered.

The St. Charles route runs along St. Charles Avenue (Central Business District) and passes by several points of interest including dozens of antebellum mansions, the Audubon Zoological Gardens, historic monuments and many others.
